This project involved an internal cleaning (using ice pigging technology) and live-main inspection of approximately 5,000 feet of 20” – 24” Concrete and DIP that provides raw water to the City’s water treatment facilities. Results of the testing and inspection were used to develop both short-term and long-term renewal needs to restore this redundant water supply system to a full 50-year useful life. Permanent access and pigging stations were installed as part of the inspection phase.
Inspection Technology: HDCCTV, acoustic leak detection Inspection
Preparation: ice pigging, installation of 3 wyes for access and inspections
